Shopping Smart: The Intentional Approach

This year brought us many lessons. Mostly in the realm of awareness. As we watched the world kind of crumble, the essentials became more apparent, and we reflected on our consumer practices.

In the spirit of becoming a conscious consumer; one who's aware of our health and environment, considerate with our neighbors (and their businesses), and mindful of our finances (and the local economy), we need to approach our expenses with intentionality.

This means we should pay fair prices for what we deem essential, deliberate about the quality and craft of our purchases, and forgo of redundant items that don't have a vital purpose in our lives.

I invite you to read this little article that gives a smart perspective on being frugal, and our boy bobby's guide to start building your dream home as a smart buyer, by stages.

Color of the Year: Aegean Teal

This week, Benjamin Moore announced 2021's COtY. It is a soothing, grey-ish teal that sits beautifully between blue and green. It can almost be considered neutral!

We compiled a bunch of inspo pics to help you visualize some ways to incorporating the hue in your home!

And check out our other boards, they'll help you assess what decor style you vibe with, and may give you a deep need for a makeover!

*Contact us if it does :-)

Chic Living: The Nouveau French

AAAND they do it again. France has spearheaded almost every style current in existence, and with their smart use of space, they are king at maximizing tiny places to look grand.

This run-of-the-mill apartment got a minimal yet 'voluminous' transformation. The main wall is considered 'living' as it becomes an anchor for all the functions needed of the space (and I bet that with a bigger budget you could even use the negative space as concealed storage if needed).

This new style is eclectic in its use of materials, yet restrained with its application. It also serves as inspiration as it makes a bold statement with very few, simple elements.
